In an ordinary traffic accident, Yu Miao's husband, Liu Mingyi, shot and killed Xu Tian's girlfriend and was shot dead by the police on the spot. Xu Tian seeks compensation from Yu Miao, and the two go to find the gun dealer Ma San Tan, who sold the gun to Liu Mingyi, only to find that Ma San Tan has been captured by the police. Ma San Tan jumps off a bridge and is severely injured. Yu Miao and Xu Tian are kidnapped by Ma San Tan's brother, Xiao Ma.
