Anton arrives in the southern French town of La Ciotat to participate in a summer screenwriting workshop, where they will write a crime thriller with the help of renowned writer Olivia. Throughout the process, they need to recall and feel the town's industrial history. In this cross-ethnic team, the intelligent and outspoken Anton often makes controversial statements and clashes with other participants, feeling out of place, which leads Olivia to expel him from the workshop. Olivia is both wary and fascinated by Anton's violent tendencies; how should she confront this crumbling collective creation and herself? The film, set in a suspenseful atmosphere with back-and-forth debates and escalating conflicts, vividly reflects contemporary French youth's perspectives on this complex society and the dilemmas they face. The film is nominated for the Un Certain Regard section at the 70th Cannes Film Festival. Lauren Kanté collaborates with "120 Beats Per Minute" director Robin Campillo as a writer again, casting non-professional actors with diverse backgrounds at the filming location, infusing each character with the actors' own personalities, capturing their performances in a realistic manner with multiple cameras.
