The proletarian revolutionary and founder of the Communist Soviet Union, Lenin (played by Leonid Mozgovoy), cannot escape the natural laws of aging, illness, and death. He is in his twilight years, plagued by illness, and increasingly weary in body and mind, unable to cope with the political struggles both inside and outside the Party.
