The year is 2046. Over eighty years old, Ah Jin (played by Sandra Ng) reaches the mountaintop to stop a heartbroken young man (played by Chapman To) from taking a drug that can erase his memories. She begins to share her past, reflecting on the most difficult year of her life, 2003. Ah Jin recalls that year as the time when Hong Kong experienced SARS, causing widespread panic, while the economy was also under strain. During that year, she encountered a client who, after failing in business, contemplated suicide; another client desperately searching for a wife; and doctors on the front lines during the SARS outbreak. She also recounts a romance with her cousin (played by Jacky Cheung) and the betrayal that followed. Those days were filled with mixed emotions, but Ah Jin is still grateful to have these memories.
