The Han family's Fengxiang Silk Shop is a well-known local business. However, it is not the elderly Madam Han or her gambling-addicted son Han Zhongze who truly manage Fengxiang, but a person from outside the family named Shen Fang. Shen Fang is an orphan adopted by Madam Han twenty years ago.
