In 1931, the shocking "September 18 Incident" broke out. The martial hero Hua Zhiqiang, after his mother was brutally killed by the Japanese army, fled his homeland with his lover, Zhang Xiaoye. During the journey, the two became separated. Xiaoye escaped to Beiping and sought refuge at her uncle Wei Xin's home. Wei Xin had long ceased to be a traitor and was working as a translator under Sakata. Sakata's public identity was that of a diplomatic official, but in reality, he was a Japanese spy, specializing in organizing kidnapping and assassination activities against anti-Japanese fighters. At this time, Sakata arranged for his son, the Japanese warrior Kojiro, to come to Beiping and challenge Director Yang of the Chinese martial arts school, hoping to seize this opportunity to conquer the Chinese martial arts world. However, Sakata knew very well that Director Yang was highly skilled, so he secretly dispatched assassins to ambush him at Lugou Bridge. Fortunately, Hua Zhiqiang, disguised as a car driver, saved him, and Director Yang narrowly escaped danger. Kojiro was very dissatisfied with his father's methods and wanted to defeat Director Yang in a fair duel. Reluctantly, Sakata sent Wei Xin to the martial arts school to deliver a challenge, agreeing to a duel the next day. The following day, both sides set up a ring at the Temple of Heaven for a life-and-death contest. Director Yang showcased exceptional martial arts skills, while Kojiro could only defend himself. Afterward, Director Yang pretended to be careless and ended the match. That night, Sakata finally poisoned Director Yang. Just as Sakata was raising his glass in celebration at the official residence, Hua Zhiqiang suddenly rushed in to avenge his master. Sakata aimed to kill Hua Zhiqiang with a gun, but Kojiro intervened. Kojiro wanted to duel Hua Zhiqiang alone; however, after just a few exchanges, he was defeated by Hua Zhiqiang. Embarrassed, Kojiro resolved to return home to train intensively in ninjutsu, promising to settle the score with Hua Zhiqiang in the future. In retaliation, Sakata incited ninjas to attack the Chinese martial arts school. Hua Zhiqiang fought his way out but was pursued by ninjas to the banks of the Yellow River. In desperation, he jumped into the river and was rescued by a boatman's daughter, Hu Niu. From then on, Hua Zhiqiang trained and honed his skills in the raging waters of the Yellow River. Soon, Kojiro returned to China. They met by the Yellow River and agreed to have their decisive battle at the Great Wall on September 18. Using ninjutsu, Kojiro pressed hard against Hua Zhiqiang. However, with the determination to withstand foreign humiliation and resist violence, Hua Zhiqiang, relying on the ultimate skills of Chinese martial arts, finally defeated Kojiro. At that moment, Sakata suddenly struck, and Hua Zhiqiang fell under Sakata's gun, while the Great Wall, symbolizing the backbone of the Chinese nation, stood majestically.
