Is he a genius or an idiot? Seventeen-year-old Noel, who has leukemia, believes he is smarter than anyone else and refuses to conform to the rules that govern most people's lives. Winter in Iceland feels like a white prison, where frozen rivers hide his youthful passion and increase his sense of loneliness. He dreams of escaping this place with the girl he admires, breaking free from the cage, but fate seems to be against him.
