Princess Yuan Yuan (played by Miriam Yeung) is the long-awaited daughter of the emperor, but she has a naturally terrible body odor that has baffled many imperial doctors. Since childhood, no one has wanted to be close to her. As the princess reaches marriageable age, the emperor declares that whoever can successfully cure her condition will be granted her hand in marriage. Shen Mengxi (played by Richie Ren) is a poor florist who strives to compete with other renowned doctors, but the chief physician (played by Eric Tsang) makes things difficult for him and uses tactics to ensure his own disciple wins. He allows Mengxi to continue researching new medications to help the princess. He encounters the fish-selling girl Han Xiang (played by Miriam Yeung), who also has a similar odor, and she is willing to help him with experiments. After repeated failures, they embark on a journey to find fragrant flowers, and their feelings for each other grow. When the deadline arrives, Mengxi goes to the palace and meets the princess, only to realize that she is the girl he knows best.
