Zhang Yingxiong (Wang Qiang) grew up under the pampering of his parents, leading to a somewhat weak character. One day, Zhang Yingxiong's father, Zhang Suqing (Yao Peide), suddenly died of a heart attack while arguing with Lu Zhiqiang (Xu Jiangning), a staff member of the government demolition office. Helpless, Zhang Yingxiong's mother moved him into his uncle's home, where they lived under someone else's roof.
