A sudden sharp pain made the usually tough Fan Baode realize that his body could not withstand the passage of time. With the sound of firecrackers, the innkeeper Yuqin announced her entry into the village chief election, going head-to-head with the Fan family. As the election heats up and health concerns mount, many past events are awakened from the depths of Fan Baode's memory.
