Zhu Zai is a gifted antique appraiser, known for his loyalty and as a passionate patriot; Jiu Shu is an antique excavator. While they were excavating a Tang Dynasty national treasure in Harbin, Jiu Shu risked his life to save Zhu Zai, and thus Zhu Zai refers to him as his benefactor. A few years later, Jiu Shu has settled in Hong Kong and opened an antique shop. After arriving in Hong Kong, Zhu Zai stays at Jiu Shu's home and meets Le Erya, the granddaughter of a suit shop owner. Le works as a sales assistant at a Chinese-funded antique shop and dreams of immigrating to America. Zhu Zai has a strong interest in Le, but unfortunately, she remains unmoved.
