Brown (played by Colin Firth) lost his wife a year ago, leaving him with seven mischievous children. Exhausted from his work all day, Brown has to deal with these troublemakers when he gets home. To solve this, Brown has hired 16 nannies, but none has been able to handle these little rascals. To make matters worse, his domineering aunt has given him an ultimatum: if he cannot find a mother for the children within a month, she will no longer support their living expenses. Burdened with debt, Brown risks going to prison if he loses his aunt's financial support. At this moment, life seems hopeless.
