Five hundred years ago, the Stone Monkey transformed into the Great Sage Equaling Heaven, Sun Wukong (voiced by Zhang Lei), wreaked havoc in the Heavenly Palace and was ultimately sealed beneath the Five Elements Mountain by Buddha. Over the years, Chang'an suddenly faced a devastating attack from mountain demons, with cries of boys and girls filling the air, lives hanging by a thread. At this critical moment, Jiang Liuer (voiced by Linzijie), raised by the wandering monk Fah Ming (voiced by Wu Wenlun), saves a little girl, only to be pursued by the mountain demons. After an intense chase, Jiang Liuer inadvertently breaks Sun Wukong's seal, allowing the Great Sage to give the mountain demons a good lesson.
