Filmed in places like Yu-Da Mountain in Taiwan and the Yilan Plain. During the Southern Song Dynasty, the Jin soldiers invaded the Central Plains. The commander of the Shandong army, Geng Jing, captured the Jin prince Gelu Khan and the Jin Imperial Guard officer Eriduo, shocking the Jin side and prompting a prisoner exchange. Song’s officer Jiang Yaohui met with Geng to escort the Jin captives across the Yishui River. Before departure, Jin camp commander Wanyan Qing betrayed them and attempted to intercept them. Geng secretly summoned the anti-Jin hero Jing Wuji, who had already retreated into seclusion, to assist Yaohui. Wanyan Qing sent Wanyan Wan'er and Xiu Lin to gather intelligence on Wuji. The escort team encountered a lumberjack who pretended to guide them but seized the opportunity to unshackle the Jin captives. Wuji discovered this and killed him. Qing’s aide Jing Duan wanted to kill Wuji, but Wuji fought back against the ambush, and Yaohui, before sacrificing himself, ordered Wuji to be responsible for escorting the Jin captives. Upon reaching the Yishui River, the Song team fell into heavy encirclement. Wan'er suddenly appeared; she and Wuji were originally husband and wife, and she urged him to back down, but he refused. When crossing the river, Qing launched a surprise attack, and Wan'er turned on Qing for Wuji's sake. Wuji ultimately killed Qing, but Wan'er was mortally wounded and died in his arms.
