After the White Lotus Sect receives an order from the Qing Dynasty official Nalan Yuanxu (Donnie Yen) to deal with the revolutionaries, they create chaos in Guangzhou under the slogan "Support Qing and Exterminate the Foreigners," targeting foreign embassies, churches, and even primary school students. Their actions infuriate Wong Fei-hung (Jet Li), Auntie 13 (Gigi Leung), and Leung Kwan (Moses Chan). At a medical conference, Wong Fei-hung quickly bonds with revolutionary leader Sun Yat-sen (Zhang Tielin) and realizes that the revolutionaries have a better vision for saving the country, so he decides to help them escape misfortune. He then assaults the White Lotus Sect's headquarters to confront the Immortal of the Nine Palaces, exposing their superstitions, and is willing to fight to the death against Nalan Yuanxu in his passionate fight for the nation's survival.
