In order to send his wife to work in South Korea, taxi driver Gyu-nam (played by Ha Jung-woo) doesn't hesitate to borrow a huge sum of 60,000 yuan. His wife has been missing for six months, and Gyu-nam can only numb his nerves with alcohol and gambling every day. One day, through an introduction from his creditor, Gyu-nam meets Mr. Myun. Mr. Myun is not only willing to help him smuggle into South Korea to find his wife, but also to pay off all his debts, on the condition that Gyu-nam kill someone in Seoul. After a series of twists and turns, Gyu-nam eventually crosses the vast Yellow Sea to reach Seoul, but killing the highly protected target proves to be not so easy. While Gyu-nam begins to make meticulous plans, he also starts searching for his wife's whereabouts. It's as if his wife has disappeared from the world, and without having killed anyone, Gyu-nam becomes a suspect wanted by the police after appearing at a crime scene. At this time, fearing that the contract killing will be exposed, Mr. Myun, who rushed from Yanbian, also tries to drive Gyu-nam to his death, putting Gyu-nam in a nearly hopeless situation... Ha Jung-woo won the Best Actor award at the 47th Baeksang Arts Awards for this film.
