After making his acting debut in "Hacksaw Ridge," Milo Gibson, the son of Mel Gibson, joins the World War II-themed film "Hurricane," portraying pilot Johnny Kent. Kent is a Canadian Air Force captain who leads a Hawker Hurricane fighter squadron numbered 303 during the Battle of Britain (a large-scale air battle waged by Nazi Germany against the UK during World War II, and the largest air battle of the war) in the fight against Nazi invasion. Kent shot down 13 enemy aircraft and served in the Royal Air Force from 1935 to 1956, being regarded as one of the finest young squadron leaders in the RAF. David Blair ("Burt and Dickie," "The Perfect Plan") will direct the film, with Stephanie Martini and "Game of Thrones" star Ivan Ryan expected to produce, aiming to start filming in the UK in September.
