The sudden death of Peking opera martial artist Guan Yulou (played by Di Long) leads his younger brother Guan Xiaolou (played by Jiang David) to reminisce about their past. Amidst his sorrow, Xiaolou discovers clues suggesting that his brother’s death may have hidden truths. He starts an investigation and uncovers that the truth involves the curator of the martial arts school, Feng Kaishan (played by Gu Feng), who is having an affair with his sister-in-law, Hua Zhengfen (played by Qu Yanting), in collaboration with Jin Zhiquan (played by Yang Zhiqing) and others, plotting to kill Yulou. Determined to avenge his brother, Xiaolou faces numerous dangers due to the many killers involved. Fortunately, with the help of Hua Zhengfen's younger sister, Hua Zhengfang (played by Wang Ping), who uses her beauty to lure the enemies, they ultimately manage to kill Feng Kaishan. Jin Zhiquan fears Xiaolou will come after him and falsely claims that the real mastermind behind Yulou’s murder is the warlord Hu Zhihu. Xiaolou, knowing that Jin Zhiquan is cunning, pretends to agree to conspire with him to eliminate Hu Zhihu, leading to a life-and-death gamble between the two.
