High school student Charlie Brewster (Anton Yelchin) lives with his mother in a quiet community in the heart of Las Vegas. Like other teens, he chats about nothing in particular and daydreams about beautiful classmates. One day, Charlie's life takes a turn when a classmate named Adam goes missing. His childhood friend Ed (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) suspects that Adam's disappearance is related to vampires and coerces Charlie into searching for him. Meanwhile, a new neighbor moves in next door, a handsome and charming adult man named Jerry (Colin Farrell), whose magnetic presence captivates Charlie's mother, but his true identity seems to be connected to the vampire investigation Ed is conducting. As ominous events unfold in the community, strange occurrences begin to happen...The film is a remake of the 1985 movie of the same name.
