The story takes place on the eve of the Romanian Revolution. To raise funds for weapons and complete the final preparations for the revolution, the "Revolutionary Alliance" instructed Barunti, who was working underground in Bucharest, to retrieve a stash of treasures that had been kept by Strau for many years and hand it over to a comrade codenamed "Yellow Rose."
