Ten years ago, Minako (played by Tomoko Nakajima), who had an extraordinarily diverse life experience, left Shodoshima with six children: Koyuki, Mina, Raimu, Hisui, Renn, and Aira, ending a once well-known marriage. Fast forward ten years, the children are growing up, and Minako works in a nursing home, taking great care of lonely elderly people. The grown-up children each have their own troubles, which reminds Minako of her student days. At the age of 15, Minako (played by Rui Saito) suffered physical abuse from her violent father and was bullied at school, ultimately becoming a delinquent girl who fought, smoked, and did drugs, leading to her expulsion.
