The film is based on Antony Johnston's novel of the same name and tells the story of espionage activities before the end of the "Cold War": In 1989, the situation in East Germany undergoes drastic changes as the "Berlin Wall" faces demolition, yet this is also the darkest moment with various assassination attempts occurring. A British MI6 undercover agent is assassinated in Berlin, and he possesses a list of spies brought back from East Germany, but the killer did not find it on him. An agent named Lorraine Broughton (played by Charlize Theron) is tasked with retrieving this spy list. Previously reported, directors David Leitch and Kelly McCormick will work on a sequel to "John Wick," with Keanu Reeves among the returning cast. However, before filming this, they will focus on bringing this action-thriller with a strong female lead to the screen.
