Four soon-to-graduate university students, Xiaochun, Dalong, Ailin, and Haleigh, plan a hiking and camping trip in the countryside. They are enjoying the fun of the outing when a huge explosion in the distance shatters this rare moment of youth. The moment they return to the town, they realize that the entire world has become different. After narrowly escaping from alien mecha attacks again and again, they arrive at the home of their former university professor.
