Luke Wright (Jason Statham) is a rogue ex-New York cop who follows his own rules. One day, he witnesses a group of armed gang members cornering a 12-year-old Chinese girl named Mei (Catherine Chan) in a subway station. His sense of justice compels him to intervene and protect the girl. Soon after, members of a Hong Kong Triad, Russian thugs, hitmen sent by politicians, and corrupt cops relentlessly come after him. With no other choice, Luke takes Mei on the run across New York. It turns out that Mei has a photographic memory; she recorded a series of numbers that, when decrypted, reveal a code. Knowing the truth behind the situation, Luke decides to help Mei through her ordeal. But what kind of battle awaits them?
