In Japan, during the Edo period, a wandering blind musician named Ichi (played by Haruka Ayase) is taken in by a man with ill intentions amidst a heavy snowfall. However, Ichi manages to stab him with her sword. It turns out Ichi possesses extraordinary swordsmanship and has been wandering in search of a male blind swordsman. Ichi encounters a seemingly timid and down-on-his-luck swordsman named Juma (played by Takao Osawa), and together they arrive at a village town. There, a gang called the Manji Party is causing trouble. Ichi easily kills a few villains, but Juma is mistakenly seen as a hero by the locals and is hired as their bodyguard. The Manji Party seeks revenge, and the small town faces a bloody turmoil. Ichi and Juma not only have to save everyone's lives but also learn information about the swordsman they have been searching for.
