In a future world, the United States has developed a space station called "Space One," which is essentially a heavily guarded maximum-security prison. It currently houses approximately 500 of the most heinous criminals, all of whom are frozen and in a state of slumber. One day, Emily Warner (played by Maggie Grace), the daughter of the current U.S. President, boards Space One to investigate human rights issues. Unexpectedly, during an interview with the inmates, chaos erupts, and all the criminals awaken from their slumber, instantly taking control of Space One, with Emily and the staff becoming hostages. Meanwhile, agent Snow (played by Guy Pearce) is framed and is about to be sent to Space One. However, in order to rescue the President's daughter, he momentarily gains his freedom and enters Space One to find the hostage and retrieve important evidence of his setup from his partner, Mace. A showdown with numerous adversaries in outer space thus begins…
