A huge amount of black money is missing in Hong Kong's top investment bank, leading to investigations involving both the police and gangsters. Eventually, the focus of the incident lands on Assistant General Manager Connie (played by Ning Jing), who suddenly becomes the target of everyone, with the constant threat of assassination from the gangsters. In desperation, Connie's boyfriend Billy (played by Lu Siming) sends a distress signal to former gang leader Uncle Ghost (played by Liu Zhaoming). Uncle Ghost sends his capable men Nick (played by Huang Haoran), Big Brother (played by Wu Tingye), and Ah Fei (played by Luo Liwei) to protect Connie. At the same time, they are tirelessly investigating the truth of the matter. Once, Nick and Connie had an unfinished romantic connection, and as they meet again this time, old feelings inevitably resurface. After several life-threatening situations, Nick starts to suspect that there might be some undisclosed dealings between Billy and Da Bo.
