"M For the Loved One" is a television drama co-produced by Asahi Television and AbemaTV, written by Suzuki Osamu, starring Miura Shohei and Anzai Karen. It premiered on April 18, 2020, on Asahi Television. The drama is adapted from the novel of the same name by Komatsu Narumi, based on the autobiography of Ayumi Hamasaki. Set in the music industry of the 1990s, it tells the story of the singer AYU, known as the "Hōsei Diva," and the famous producer "Max Masa," who stir up many major events in the music world. Since her father went missing when she was a child, AYU (played by Anzai Karen) has been living with her mother and grandmother.
