Indio (Gian Maria Volonté) is a ruthless wanted criminal who, along with his gang, commits heinous crimes. He possesses a pocket watch that he checks before each massacre, which has a picture of a woman inside it. Bounty hunter Manco (Clint Eastwood) is on the hunt for Indio, while another bounty hunter, Colonel Douglas Mortimer (Lee Van Cleef), is also pursuing the same target. Initially, the two men find each other untrustworthy but later decide to team up to catch Indio. They learn that Indio is planning to rob a bank, so they devise a plan for Manco to infiltrate Indio's gang, followed by a coordinated attack with Mortimer. Eventually, the two are captured by Indio. Will Manco and Mortimer be able to eliminate Indio, and what connection does Mortimer have with the woman in Indio's pocket watch? This film is a "spaghetti" Western directed by Italian director Sergio Leone.
