Synopsis: This film consists of three story segments: (1) New Year's Eve: Jingran discovers that her husband Weili is having an affair with her friend Angie, which makes her unhappy. Weili pretends to be affectionate with her in public but neglects her behind her back. On New Year's Eve, Jingran purposely dresses up and gets approached by suitors, but she decides to go home and wait for Weili. Jingran mistakenly gets into a thief's car and is taken hostage for a robbery. At midnight, Weili has not returned. Jingran engages with the robber as revenge. (2) Past Grievances: Dongdong is often jealous and doesn't allow Jiming to meet his work partner Lindy. Dongdong demands to marry Jiming, but he is unwilling. The next day, Dongdong moves out. Dongdong misunderstands that Jiming and Lindy are having an affair, and in anger, she leaves. Lindy begins living with Jiming, but Jiming realizes that he loves Dongdong the most. Jiming is caught speeding while looking for Dongdong at the airport, and Dongdong appears to bail him out, leading to their marriage. (3) Covenant: An Guo and Wei return to Hong Kong to get married. Guo goes back to his family home and sees his deceased fiancée Shen Xiangyu, who demands that Guo fulfill his covenant. Wei senses something is off with Guo and suspects that Yu's ghost is causing trouble. Yu intends to kill Wei, but Guo stops her and recalls the promise he made to never marry again in this life, thus leaving Wei and driving off the cliff with Yu.
