The story begins on a train from Beijing to Fuzhou, where a girl with a pained expression catches the attention of passengers Du Qiu (Zhang Chao) and Zhang Tongsheng (Zhan Jingbo). They want to talk to her but find that she keeps avoiding their questions. In desperation, they decide to ask the train police for help. The girl feels very scared upon seeing the police, so while everyone is dozing off, she gets off the train early at Nanjing Station. After getting off, the girl wanders on the Yangtze River Bridge. It turns out that in a past calamity, her mother was killed and her father was arrested. In her youthful ignorance, she got caught up in bad influences and started hanging out with delinquents.
