Near Qishan, there is a city formerly known as "Little City of Eternal Night," Fufeng City. Long ago, the city was filled with dazzling lanterns, making the night as bright as day. However, it is now shrouded in darkness, with a legend circulating about "killing with lamps." The protagonist, Wen Ning, arrives in Fufeng City and immediately notices many unusual things; the city is filled with the elderly, the weak, the sick, and the disabled, presenting a scene of desolation and decay. As night falls, Wen Ning intentionally lights a lamp, attracting ghostly shadows. Just as he is about to capture one, a blue sword light strikes, allowing the shadow to escape. Wen Ning looks up to see a familiar figure rushing in from outside—the young man Lan Si Chui from the Lan family, an old acquaintance. Together, Wen Ning and Lan Si Chui join forces, and through relentless effort, they ultimately solve the mystery, capturing the mastermind behind it and restoring peace to the people.
