Sherman (played by Tom Hanks) is a financial elite working on Wall Street. He has a lucrative job, a beautiful wife, and wears a suit to high-end venues every day, living a very respectable life, truly a model of success. However, in reality, Sherman has his own secret; he has been unfaithful to his wife and has a mistress. One day, Sherman meets his mistress as usual, and while they are driving on the highway, they accidentally hit a child. Fearing his infidelity and the exposure of his whereabouts, Sherman decides to flee the scene of the accident. However, a sly and greedy tabloid reporter witnesses everything and takes down Sherman's license plate number. Sherman's life is forever changed.
