Millionaire Wang Million (played by Stephen Chow) is murdered with an ice pick. Due to the breakdown of his marriage with his wife Tang Judit (played by Anita Mui), she becomes the prime suspect. Coincidentally, Zhou Xingxing (also played by Stephen Chow) looks almost identical to Wang Million, so the police have him impersonate Wang Million and take Tang Judit home to gather evidence. Once Zhou Xingxing enters the Wang family, he discovers that Wang Million's friend Lin Dayue (played by Anthony Wong) is also a major suspect. However, Lin Dayue is soon murdered as well. With so many doubts in the case, Zhou Xingxing later finds out that Tang Judit has an ambiguous relationship with Wang Million's female secretary.
