Kasumi (played by Tomoyo Harada) is divorced and raises her high school son alone, struggling through life. She works at a laundromat that caters to clients of certain social status and prestige. One day, Kasumi encounters a man named Yurin Ozawa (played by Takumi Saitoh), a hot topic designer. To Kasumi's surprise, the seemingly unconnected Yurin shows a particular interest in her, leading her to be wary of this eccentric man. However, as time passes, Yurin's pure and kind nature gradually reveals itself, and Kasumi finds herself unknowingly drawn to him. Yet, Yurin's life is quite chaotic, as he has an illicit affair with one of Kasumi's clients, the wife of a large corporate president, Maho Shirai (played by Sayaka Yamaguchi).
