"The Spy Cohen" is adapted from the true story of Eli Cohen, a former Mossad agent who successfully infiltrated Syria in the early 1960s and became a spy. Cohen developed close relationships with ambitious military leaders and their wealthy friends, earning extraordinary trust in Syria's largest anti-Israel covert operation. In this series, Emmy-nominated Sacha Baron Cohen ("Who Is America?") plays Eli Cohen, a man determined to serve his country, but his remarkable performance makes it difficult for him to escape his double identity. Noah Emmerich ("The Americans") plays Eli's Mossad chief Dan Peled, who tries to alleviate his guilt over the sacrifices made for Eli. Hadar Ratzon Rotem ("Homeland") plays Eli's wife Nadia, who is left to raise their family alone and knows that there are issues with her husband's government job. Walid Zuaiter ("The Colony") plays military officer Amin Hafiz, who believes he has found the perfect ally in undercover Cohen. "The Spy Cohen" is written and directed by Emmy winner Gideon Raff ("Prisoners of War," "Homeland," "Tyrant"). The series is produced by Alan Goldman ("La Vie en Rose").
