This film tells the rise and fall of the German far-left terrorist organization "Red Army Faction" in the 1970s. Led by Andreas Baader (played by Moritz Bleibtreu) and Ulrike Meinhof (played by Martina Gedeck), the German anarchist group "Red Army Faction" carried out extreme leftist terrorist activities starting in 1972.
