On the surface, the relationship between Christine (played by Kristin Scott Thomas) and Isabelle (played by Ludivine Sagnier) seems to be a perfect example of the relationship between a boss and her subordinate. However, in reality, deep-seated animosities have already taken root between the two. For Christine, Isabelle's talent is a cash cow; through a series of unethical means, Christine uses Isabelle to secure substantial benefits for herself. On the other hand, Isabelle is constantly oppressed by her boss's arrogance and dominance, leaving her unable to turn her situation around. The daily life of suppressive endurance seems endless. The repressed contradictions are bound to explode one day; in order to take revenge on Christine, Isabelle plots a meticulous murder. Can Isabelle really go through with such a ruthless act? Will her plan succeed?
