On this night, hundreds of gangs scattered throughout New York City mobilize collectively in response to the call of the underground king Cyrus. Each gang sends nine unarmed members to attend Cyrus’s gang summit. Cyrus gives an impassioned speech, urging all gangs to adhere to a ceasefire agreement and to direct their animosity towards the police. However, during the speech, Cyrus is shot and killed. A member of the "Warriors" from Coney Island witnesses the shooter but is falsely accused by the rival gang. In the ensuing chaos, the Warriors hurriedly escape the venue. The gang summit immediately sends out a message for gangs everywhere to intercept the Warriors as they attempt to return to Coney Island. Meanwhile, with their leader Cleon missing, Swan (played by Michael Beck) leads the other seven to navigate this perilous night. They face a double blockade from other gangs and the police, and in order to return to their territory, they must carve out a path for themselves…
