The King of Gambles arrives at the "Golden Hook Casino" with his nephew Liu Feng and cousin Ling Lan, carrying a box of money. His opponents are Japanese men Ono and Yamamoto. After a fierce competition, the King wins all the money and leaves triumphantly. Upon returning to the casino, the King disregards the advice of the officer Luo Yi and goes back to challenge his luck. It turns out that the King’s friend was killed by the Japanese, and the funds meant for buying medicine for the frontline were intercepted. He aims to collect this debt. Yamamoto, with a face full of anger, is pleased to see the King and his companions; he notices that the two dice in Miss Lianxin's white bowl both show six, and a sly smile appears on his face. The King sees through his trick, outplays him, leaving Yamamoto dumbfounded. The King, along with Liu Feng and Ling Lan, rushes out of the casino with bags of money. Yamamoto, furious, interrogates Lianxin, while an old limping man sweeping the floor advises her to go to the King. Ono and Yamamoto's superior, Kameda, invites the Korean gambling expert “Full Sweep” to settle scores with the King, wagering the emperor's bestowed sword and the King's heirloom luminous cup. The King and Full Sweep each take their side, with the King raising his cup to drink fully. At this moment, Liu Feng and Ling Lan get into a fight with Japanese ronin, and Full Sweep takes the luminous cup, saying they will continue their contest another day. Full Sweep sees a street performer wearing a big-headed doll mask performing tricks. The performer reaches into his chest, and the luminous cup ends up in his hands; by the time he realizes it's bad for him, the King and his group have disappeared. Late at night, the King sneaks into Full Sweep's residence, and the two fight. The patrolling officer arrives and arrests both of them. The two officers then take off their disguise, revealing themselves to be Liu Feng and the driver. After a heartfelt conversation between the King and Lianxin, Full Sweep is convinced and throws the emperor's bestowed sword into the lake. The King gives the money to Luo Yi and sends Liu Feng to the base. On the way back, the limping old man tells the King that Lianxin and Ling Lan have been kidnapped by the Japanese. The King rushes to the casino and sees them hanging from the beams, while the limping old man in kimono looks murderous; he is, in fact, Kameda, the head of the Black Dragon Society. During the fierce battle, Ling Lan gets fatally wounded while trying to protect the King, and the injured Lianxin struggles to pull the trigger, killing Kameda. Luo Yi comes to rescue the King. After the gunfight, the casino falls into complete silence.
