A top-secret spy ship of the British military explodes in Greece, sinking with an incredibly powerful missile launcher on board (reportedly capable of neutralizing the entire Polaris missile system). This prompts not only the British military but also spies and terrorists from around the world to stir. Thus, 007 Bond (played by Roger Moore) is called into action with the task of destroying the missile launcher as quickly as possible. At the same time, Mr. Havelock is unfortunately assassinated while searching for the device, and his daughter Melina (played by Carole Bouquet) is determined to avenge her father. Bond persuades Melina to assist him in retrieving the missile launcher from the sunken ship. Unfortunately, the two are captured by enemies as they surface...
