Raj (Akshay Kumar) is a stuntman who meets a surgeon named Simrita (Kareena Kapoor) at a wedding. Although they share an unexpectedly similar view on love—that true love does not exist—their personalities are vastly different, leading to a series of misunderstandings and troubles every time they meet. One day, Raj gets injured at work, and the doctor treating him happens to be Simrita. During the surgery, Simrita accidentally drops her wristwatch into Raj's abdomen.
