Xiang Rong (played by Jiang Dawei) and Gen Lai (played by Di Long) are close friends. Suddenly, Xiang Rong encounters a family crisis and is at a loss, but Gen Lai comes to his rescue, helping him through the tough times. One day, Xiang Rong is brutally beaten by thugs, and once again, Gen Lai happens to pass by and saves him.
