After ending a broken marriage, the beautiful and forlorn woman Mary Ji (played by Rachelle Lefevre) moves into an old apartment with over half a century of history. Shortly after moving in, she receives a strange phone call. The caller is a woman named Rose (played by Lorna Raver), who is looking for her man. Initially, Mary does not take it seriously, but Rose continuously calls, becoming a nuisance, and she discovers by chance that this might be a time-traveling phone call. On the other end of the line, Rose is an unfortunate woman living in the late 1970s. The two women have a brief but deep exchange, only for Mary's joking remark to lead to Rose killing her husband. After that, the nearly deranged Rose sets her sights on Mary, who is on the brink of collapse, compounded by the harassment of her ex-husband Steven (played by Ed Quinn), adding to her misery. Everything heads towards an unpredictable direction...
