The Spanish Civil War has just ended, marking a difficult period of post-war trauma. In the countryside of Catalonia, a boy named Andreu (Francesc Colomer) from the losing side discovers the bodies of a father and son in the forest. However, the authorities wrongfully accuse Andreu's father, Faliol (Roger Casamajor), making him an innocent scapegoat. Andreu decides to take matters into his own hands, seeking the true murderer of the father and son to reveal the truth. As Andreu investigates, the various conspiracies and lies of the adult world open his eyes to this distorted reality. To survive, Andreu is forced to betray his own kind, and he gradually becomes aware of the terrifying demon lurking deep within himself. Directed and written by renowned Spanish director Agustí Villaronga, the film "Black Bread" swept multiple awards at the 25th Goya Awards in 2011, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Cinematography, and Best Adapted Screenplay.
