Izumi Ozaki's "The Quirky Love Handbook at Midnight" has been announced to be adapted into a live-action drama directed by Momoko Fukuda and Daisuke Yamamoto, set to premiere in October. The live-action version stars Fumika Baba, Hinako Sano, and Ikumi Umetsu, as they hilariously criticize the "bad men" encountered during romantic relationships. Fumika Baba plays Koga Madoka, who has no experience with men, Hinako Sano plays Chidori Sawako, who lives with her boyfriend, while Ikumi Umetsu portrays Fukuma Chiyo, who is so immersed in shoujo manga that she cannot accept real men. "The Quirky Love Handbook at Midnight" is a manga serialized in Shogakukan's "Petit Comic," with the fourth volume set to be released on July 10. The story features the three women, Koga Madoka, Chidori Sawako, and Fukuma Chiyo, as they discuss various aspects of men late at night, such as a married man hitting on women during a break, waking up to find their boyfriend's armpit hair all over their face, a carnivorous man stripping socks and making the bed, and discovering strange body hair while showering... all of which can be suffocating experiences. The three main characters are played by Fumika Baba, Hinako Sano, and Ikumi Umetsu.
