Ig Perrish (Daniel Radcliffe) and Merrin Williams (Juno Temple) are childhood sweethearts, but their lives changed drastically one day a year ago. While they were dating in the forest, Merrin was brutally murdered. Afterward, Ig becomes a suspect in the crime and is investigated by the police, but he is eventually released without charges.
