The story takes place in 1941, during the most intense period of the war against Japan that began four years earlier. Both sides are fighting to the death, and the battlefield conditions change rapidly, with no one knowing what tomorrow will bring. Led by Colonel Chennault, the Flying Tigers strike like a sharp knife into the heart of the Japanese invaders, delivering a heavy blow to the aggressors. During an aerial battle, ace pilot John is hit, and after parachuting down, he lands in Windbell Crossing. In a moment of crisis while being chased by Japanese soldiers, the hunter Muliangfeng (played by Yang Shuo) comes to the rescue. Muliangfeng possesses astonishing sharpshooting skills and, at his core, is a steadfast man willing to give his life for his country. This incident draws the ordinary Muliangfeng into the tide of the anti-Japanese war, leading to encounters with the beautiful and enchanting Liu Yan (played by Zhou Yang) and the naive and lovely military doctor Zhao Xiaotian (played by Zhu Lin). The sharpshooter Muliangfeng gradually grows into a legendary hero capable of shouldering the national mission… This film is adapted from the novel of the same name by Li Xiaomin.
