Ma Weixiong (played by Shen Zhenxuan) is a screenwriter who has long lived a life of unequal status with his girlfriend Bai Meigui (played by Zhuang Simin), which has left the perpetually low-ranked Ma Weixiong in great distress. One day, Bai Meigui's sister Bai Juhua (played by Lian Shi Ya) appears before Ma Weixiong, reigniting the impulses and passions within him. Chen Yongsheng (played by Zhang Jian Sheng) meets the stunning Miss Pan (played by Ni Chen Xi) in a nightclub and is deeply attracted to her, but unexpectedly learns that Miss Pan is about to get married.
