Brothers Jack (Cole Hauser) and Tyler (Eddie Cibrian) are cave experts who love adventure. Invited by biologist Nicola (Marcel Iures) and Dr. Janice (Lena Headey), they arrive in the Carpathian Mountains of Romania with an experienced team to explore a huge cave and ancient church discovered by chance. Expedition member Briggs (Rick Ravanello) is the first to enter the water for assessment, but soon loses contact with his teammates. For safety, Jack and Tyler decide to set off together to search for him. Along the way, they encounter various strange creatures, revealing a completely independent ancient biological system within this secluded cave. However, these discoveries do not bring them much excitement, as the group of explorers find themselves trapped in the cave, with threats from unknown creatures gradually closing in on them...
